Over the weekend, you need to finish your plan to the essay you are going to write UNDER EXAM CONDITIONS on Monday morning:
Compare the ways that poets present violence in ‘Hitcher’, ‘My Last Duchess’, and two other poems from the Literature Anthology.
MAKE SURE YOU BRING THIS PLAN AND YOUR ANTHOLOGY WITH YOU ON MONDAY.

11X - Media Studies coursework
Hi guys,
By now you should have all finished the 'Planning' sections for your Media Studies coursework. This should include:
You now have to complete your actual productions. This means making a FRONT COVER and a CONTENTS PAGE to a professional standard. Look back in your notes to check that your production uses all the CONVENTIONS of a magazine front cover and contents page and that you use the CODES appropriate to your TARGET AUDIENCE.

For Friday: complete your poetry comparison sheet for 'Hitcher', 'Stealing', 'My Last Duchess' and 'Havisham'.
Be ready to feedback your ideas in the lesson. Be as detailed as you can. Here are your success criteria:
Skilled analysis/ comparison
1.Find points of similarity in the subject matter of the poems
2.Find points of similarity in the structure of the poems
3.Find points of similarity in the language of the poems
Excellent analysis/ comparison
1.Select appropriate quotations to act as reference points between the poems
2.Comment on how the structure of the poems reflects on the ideas contained within the poems
3.Identify key language features (eg poetic devices) and comment on their effect
